Ukraine special: Workshop on language and culture

Since the war on Ukraine the country has become the centre of attention. Millions of Ukrainians have fled the war and found refuge in other countries. The Arqus Alliance universities have responded to the crisis and are committed to welcoming and supporting students and academics from Ukraine. This interactive workshop aims to provide an initial introduction to the Ukrainian language in its key linguistic and sociolinguistic aspects. The participants will also be introduced to the Ukrainian Cyrillic alphabet as well as the key facts of Ukrainian geography and cultural history
