How can we best conceptualise and analyse systems and phenomena around religion and violence? This field is positioned at the intersection of politics, conflict studies, theology, sociology, psychology, and many more. Marian Simion (Harvard), an Orthodox expert on the subject is exploring the different viewpoints and the necessity of developing a truly integrated multi-disciplinary approach for students, researchers, and teachers alike.

A week-long series of online talks and discussions aims to make a practical contribution to this field. The mini-series is aimed at anyone interested in phenomena around religion and violence, especially those who are concerned with setting up a meaningful framework or curriculum for the study of this ever-current subject.

Talks (short lecture and discussion) will take place Mon-Fri, 25-29 April, at 5:15-6:00 pm (online and on campus).
