Let's reflect on employment crisis in Iraq

International student conference

Iraq, like other countries, is experiencing a deep economic and political crisis. There are great challenges, especially for young people, to enter the job market and build a career. Many young people are protesting or decide to migrate to other countries in the hope for better opportunities abroad. In this situation, big hope and expectations are resting on university students.

As part of the RESI-student-conference about 150 young academics from various backgrounds got together to reflect on the nature of the ongoing crisis situation, discuss possible future developments, learn about concepts for taking action and develop ideas on how to make positive contributions to tackle the employment crisis in Iraq.

University of Mosul, TU Dortmund University and Graz University cordially invite you to join the final day of the international RESI-student conference "Let's reflect on employment crisis in Iraq".

Rethink Science and Education in Iraq (RESI) is a collaboration between University of Mosul (Iraq), TU Dortmund (Germany) and Graz University (Austria). Working since 2017 we aim to promote academic and intercultural exchange between our universities and contribute to the academic reconstruction as well as peace and reconciliation work at the Mosul University and in the region. Funding for our activities comes from the German Academic Exchange Service (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst - DAAD).
