Camps, (In)justice, and Solidarity in the Americas 26.5. - 29.5.2022

January 2022 marks the 20th commemoration of the establishment of the Guantánamo Bay detention camps as a U.S. military prison just months after the terrorist attacks of 9/11. This interdisciplinary and international conference organized by the Center for Inter-American Studies (C.IAS) of the University of Graz and the Department of English at the University of Puerto Rico’s Río Piedras Campus will contextualize detention in terms of a broad typology of camps and camp-like institutions.
